The time to run has come… and we mean it seriously. In this zombie run in Mexico City, you’ll have to be very fast to escape the dangers that await you.

 

When the Zombie Run takes place?

Don’t let them catch you! On Saturday, June 24, a zombie run will take place in Mexico City. It’s called “Neon Escape” and will cover a distance of 5 kilometers. Are you brave enough to participate?

After a radioactive accident, many people were affected and turned into glowing zombies. Your mission in this night race will be to escape from them and survive because they are willing to catch you (and devour you).

According to the organizers, the event combines sports, light effects, and lots of fun. Registrations have already begun.

The event “Pandemic Run Neon Escape” is organized by Zombie Pandemic and will take place on June 24 in Bosque de Aragón. Access will be available from 5:00 p.m., and the race will start at 7:00 p.m.

The registration cost depends on the date of registration:

Pre-sale (May 21 to June 18): $400 per person
June 19 to 23: $450 per person

Participants will receive a kit that includes a bracelet, life belt, commemorative medal, and a t-shirt. Their faces will also be painted with neon paints. You can participate by walking, jogging, or running—the idea is to avoid getting caught by the zombies! Check for more details on the organizers’ social media.

 

Save animals from zombies!

There will also be a race to help animals!

In addition to that, there will be another race called “Pandemic Run Animal Rescue Operation.” In this event, you will have to rescue pets that were abandoned after a zombie virus outbreak.

The activity also aims to promote the importance of animal welfare. Collaboration will be done with rescue organizations and shelters. It will take place on Saturday, July 22, in Bosque de Aragón. Access will be available from 4:00 p.m., and the race will start at 7:00 p.m. It will cover a distance of 5 kilometers.

The registration cost is:

June 2 to July 2: $400
July 3 to July 18: $450

The best part is that you can bring your pet along. But be aware that in order for you rpet to to participate, you must bring 2 kilograms of non-bulk dog or cat food and make a cash donation of $100 at the time of your registration.

The kit includes a t-shirt, bracelet, and bandana for you or your pet.
