Amélie screenig with orchestra

Witness the celebration of the anniversary of the film Amélie, which will be screened with an orchestra in Mexico City.

Since its release in 2001, Améie is the second highest-grossing French film of all time.

This French romantic comedy has been considered a cult classic by critics and fans for fifteen years, and to this day, it continues to remind certain generations that love is not as it is often portrayed. Directed and written by Jean-Pierre Jeunet in collaboration with novelist Guillaume Laurant, and with the musical contributions of Yann Tiersen and the actress Audrey Tautou as the protagonist, Amélie, this film has become the second highest-grossing French film of all time.

On this occasion, the film will be screened in Mexico City, accompanied by the music of pianist Roberto Salomón, striving to faithfully recreate the original soundtrack by Yann Tiersen, which undoubtedly plays a key role in expressing the ambiance of the Parisian city.

The screening will bear the motto “She will change your life,” narrating the story of the young waitress Amélie Poulain, who discovers a small box in her bathroom containing toys and photographs of a child who lived there over forty years ago. This discovery leads her on an intense quest to return it to its owner and embark on her arduous and philanthropic task of making the people around her feel happy, enjoying the small details and pleasures that life offers.
