Our Body in Mexico City

Bodies, the famous exhibition came to Mexico City. This time is called Our Body, the Universe Within.

At this exhibition about the human body, you can see the complete functioning of this fascinating micro-universe, it is an exhibition that shows us what lies beneath our skin.

This exhibition reveals how this peculiar micro-universe called the human body works. Besides being educational, ingenious, and fascinating, it features nearly 200 human bodies to explore what lies beneath the skin with a three-dimensional view.

The works or bodies, as well as the specimens and organs you will see in this exhibition, have been preserved through plastination, allowing you to view the complete inner workings of the extraordinary human body.

 

Goal

The goal of the exhibition is for all visitors to gain a deep understanding of the forms and functions of the body and an appreciation for the uniqueness of each of our individual bodies. Additionally, attendees will connect on a very personal level with these human artifacts, using them to better understand their own bodies.

The exhibition also explores the evolution of the study of the body, with specimens serving as living illustrations of the complexity and beauty of the human body. Moreover, it is an exhibition for all ages, offering a unique experience.

During the tour, you will see nerves, vital organs, the brain, and the liver, as well as the functioning of the body’s systems. There are six exhibition rooms with over 150 real human organs.

 

Origins

The first exhibition of this type opened in 2025 in Tampa, Florida. Since then became very popular, being shown around the world. The exhibit displays internal organs and organic systems, bodies staged in active poses, and fetuses in various stages of development.
