Piñatas Racing October 2023

Piñatas Racing, a Celebration that Combines Motorsport with Mexican Tradition

Piñatas Racing is a contest where you can showcase your creation at the Mexico City Grand Prix and meet Checo Pérez.

The Mexico City Grand Prix 2023 is a Formula 1 motor race that takes place annually at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez and is part of the Formula 1 World Championship. It was first held in 1962 (as a non-championship race), included from 1963 to 1970, then from 1986 to 1992, and since 2015, it has become a major event.

The 2023 edition of the Grand Prix will be filled with piñatas in a competition called “Piñatas Racing.” As the name suggests, participants will have to create an original piñata related to the top category of world motorsport, where Sergio “Checo” Pérez competes.

In Piñatas Racing, all participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in creating piñatas, just like the ones used in birthdays, posadas, or any other Mexican celebration. The top five piñatas will be exhibited during the Mexico City Grand Prix at the Cathedral of Mexican Motorsport.

Anyone can compete, regardless of age or experience in making piñatas. Participation is free, but the piñata must be related to F1 and the Mexico City Grand Prix. The contest is open to residents of Mexico, regardless of nationality.

The call for submissions will close on September 22, and no registrations will be accepted after that date. Participants can register and submit their piñatas through the official website. The jury will be composed of the Organizing Committee.

Anyone can participate in this contest organized by the Mexico GP 2023, regardless of their experience or age in making piñatas. There is no cost to participate.

The piñata should be inspired by Formula 1 or the Mexican Grand Prix.

Participation is limited to residents of Mexico.

The call for submissions will be open from Wednesday, May 31, until Friday, September 22, 2023.

Interested individuals should visit the website and complete their registration.

Ten piñatas will be selected as finalists, and there will be three winners and two honorable mentions. Participants are responsible for transporting their piñatas to the final competition venue. The five winning piñatas will be exhibited at the Autódromo, and each of the five winners will receive a double ticket to the Formula 1 event at the Autódromo.
